We’re only a 1.15-hour drive north of Nanaimo, BC, or eight kilometres south of Courtnay, BC. If you’re in Victoria, BC, it’s only a 2.5-hour drive north on Island Highway 19.
From Vancouver, BC, you can take a ferry from Horseshoe Bay Terminal to Departure Bay Terminal in Nanaimo or Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Duke Point, just south of Nanaimo.
After your arrival in Departure Bay, Nanaimo, take the Island Highway 19 north towards Courtenay and Campbell River. Turn off at Exit 101, which is the Buckley Bay/Union Bay/Royston exit (same as the Denman/Hornby Island ferry exit) and then turn right at the bottom of the off-ramp.
Continue down the hill. At the lights (PetroCan across the street), turn left (or north) onto Highway 19A (Old Island Highway). Continue on this road for approximately 10 minutes.
You will find us about five minutes past the small village of Union Bay on your right-hand side. Look for our rock and driftwood waterfall sign. If using GPS or MapQuest, please enter Royston as the city destination.
