Spa Minimum Age
Spa Treatments : Guests must be 14 years of age to enjoy select spa services.
Swimming pool: Children under the age of 14 are welcome from 9:00am-10:00am and 6:00pm-8:00pm daily. Minors must be accompanied by an adult and respect our no diving policy.
The Pacific Mist Hydropath® and Healing Caves® are not suitable for individuals under the age of 14. Those aged 14-18 must be accompanied by a guardian or their parents. Please inquire before booking.

What is your cancellation policy for the spa?
Spa Cancellation Policy
Please note: Our Spa Cancellation Policy has been updated effective Summer 2026.
We kindly ask that any changes to your spa reservation be made within the required notice period:
Individual Appointments
- More than or at least 24 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show: 100% of the reserved service value will be charged.
Multiple Treatments or Group Bookings (4 or more guests)
- More than or at least 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice or no-show: 100% of the reserved service value will be charged.

Illness
We understand that unexpected illness can happen. If you are unable to attend your appointment due to sudden illness, please contact our team as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may be waived at the discretion of the Spa Manager following a conversation, allowing us the opportunity to offer your appointment to another guest.
Therapist Availability
For the safety of our guests and team, our therapists are encouraged to stay home when unwell. In the unlikely event that your therapist is unavailable due to illness, we will make every effort to arrange an alternative therapist or reschedule your appointment at the earliest available time.
Respectful Environment
The Pacific Mist Spa and Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all guests and team members. Harassment or abusive behaviour toward our staff will not be tolerated.

Is it necessary to reserve for spa appointments?
Yes, all spa services require advanced reservations, including our Pacific Mist Hydropath® and new Healing Caves® . If you’re staying on a package that includes spa credits, we strongly suggest reserving at the time of booking to ensure you’re guaranteed a spot.

What are the contraindications for the spa treatments?
At the Pacific Mist Spa, we want you to enjoy a safe, nurturing and relaxing experience. The Pacific Mist Spa requires guests to use stairs and safely enter and exit tubs and may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations. Some treatments are not recommended for guests with certain medical conditions, including pregnancy, high blood pressure, thyroid conditions or allergies. Guests with serious health concerns should consult their physician before booking.

What are the opening hours of the Pacific Mist Spa, pool facilities, Fitness Room and Boutique?
These are open daily. Please see our opening hours here.

Are non-resort guests able to use the pool facilities?
Only registered resort guests and day spa guests with advanced reservations to the Pacific Mist Spa are able to access our outdoor pool facilities.
We do not offer drop-in rates for access to the pool facilities only.

I only have an appointment for a spa service. Can I freely access the pool?
Day spa guests may make a pool reservation for one hour before their spa treatment, Pacific Mist Hydropath® or Healing Caves® appointment. Day spa guests are welcome to sign up by calling our Reservations Department at 1.800.663.7929. Please be advised that access to the pool facilities is not guaranteed with your spa booking.

Can I claim my massage for medical benefits?
Only massages booked with a Registered Massage Therapist are claimable through insurance. It is necessary to request a Custom RMT Massage at the time of booking. We do not offer direct billing; a receipt will be provided upon completion of the service.

Should I consider adding a gratuity to my service?
Gratuities are not included and may be added at your discretion or charged to your resort room. We will charge a 18% auto gratuity for groups of 8 or more people.

Is there a fitness room or gym at the Kingfisher?
Yes, our Fitness Room is equipped with brand-new gym equipment and is available for resort guests, who can access it with their room key between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Please visit the front desk for help finding our gym facilities.

What is the Pacific Mist Hydropath®?
The Pacific Mist Hydropath® offers a guided therapeutic journey through a re-created West Coast shoreline, with sandstone sculpted caves and pools. Each of its steps delivers unique therapeutic benefits, and it’s a perfect experience to enjoy on your own, with friends or with someone special. How long is a session in the Pacific Mist Hydropath®?
Your guided hydrotherapy experience will last one hour. To complete the experience, you are invited to spend time in our Relaxation Lounge, which overlooks the Strait of Georgia, and enjoy a cup of soothing herbal tea.

Are we alone in the Pacific Mist Hydropath®?
Your experience will be guided by one of our attendants and is up to 4 guests. You could choose a solo session but be aware you may have other guests enjoying the experience as a group ahead of you or behind you.

What are the contraindications for the Pacific Mist Hydropath®?
The service is not recommended for guests with heart conditions, high blood pressure and/or mobility issues (you must be able to navigate stairs and lower into and out of the bathtub). The Pacific Mist Hydropath® may not be suitable for guests with thyroid conditions, those with iodine or seaweed allergies, and pregnant women. More serious health conditions require a doctor’s permission.

What are the Healing Caves®?
This immersive journey guides guests through a sensory-rich spa circuit featuring six uniquely designed caves, each engineered to maximize health benefits and provide a mindful escape. The Healing Caves® offer clinically proven wellness therapies, delivering a wide array of benefits, including stress relief, immune support, improved sleep and energy, inflammation relief, anti-aging, and more.
The therapies include thermotherapy, aromatherapy, cryotherapy, red-light therapy, halotherapy, and immersive hydrotherapy.

Must Bring!
Kindly bring a valid photo ID, as we will be offering a flute of sparkling wine to all visitors aged 19 and above. For those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, we also have a fantastic alternative available.

How long is a session in the Healing Caves®?
The Healing Caves® journey lasts a minimum of 75 minutes, with the option to extend your time up to 90 minutes in our serene relaxation lounge, where breathtaking ocean views and a flute of sparkling wine create the perfect serene escape to end your Healing Caves® experience. (Non Alcoholic option available).

Are we alone in the Healing Caves®?
Your experience will be guided by one of our attendants and is up to 4 guests. You could choose a solo session but be aware you may have other guests enjoying the experience as a group ahead of you or behind you. To ensure a peaceful and unhurried environment, we maintain a minimum 15-minute break between groups. This allows us to prepare the space and ensure every guest enjoys the full benefits of the experience.

What are the contraindications for the Healing Caves®?
The Healing Caves® experience may not be suitable for guests undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy; those with heart conditions (including pacemakers), high blood pressure, diabetes, lung conditions, thyroid conditions, photosensitivity, or epilepsy; guests with skin conditions or open wounds; those with mobility issues (as navigating stairs is required); and pregnant women.
Guests with more serious health conditions should consult their doctor before booking.
